The Everest Base Camp Trek (EBC) is a bucket-list adventure that combines breathtaking landscapes, cultural immersion, and a profound sense of achievement. To help you plan your trip, we have put together a list of what's included and what's not included in your tour package. This will give you a clear understanding of what to expect and help you make any necessary arrangements before your journey begins.
Cost Includes
- Arrival: Airport – Airport pickup - hotel transfers – by private vehicle.
- Accommodation in Kathmandu: 3 nights accommodation in Kathmandu (3-stars category) – on BB plan.
- Permits and Fees: All necessary permits for trekking (Sagarmatha National Park permit, Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality entry permit, and fees).
- Insurance: Insurance for all involved Nepalese staff during the trek.
- Porters will carry upto 15 Kgs of luggage per trekker
- Trekking Map: Pocket map of Everest Region.
- Food during the trekking: 3 meals a day (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner with cup of tea and Coffee). Recommended vegetarian meals.
- Accommodation during the trek: 11 nights tea house accommodation at Hotel/Lodge during the trek (twin sharing).
- Drinking water: Normal drinking water (Ef-Chlor – water purification tablet)
- Guide: First Aid and Eco trained government licensed Guide (English speaking) during the trek.
- Staffs’ salary and allowance: Guide daily wages, salary, food and equipments,
- Flight ticket to Lukla: Flight ticket to Lukla from Kathmandu or Ramechhap
- Return Flight Ticket: Flight ticket to Kathmandu or Ramechhap from Lukla including airport transfer to domestic airport
- Certificate of achievement: We provide an achievement certificate once you complete the trip.
- Assistant guide: If the group size is bigger than six people, we will provide an assistance guide.
- Taxes and Fees: All government, local taxes, and all our official expenses
- Assist: In case of complicated health conditions, we will assist in arranging rescue operations (funded by travel insurance)
- Medical Kit: Comprehensive first-aid medical kit.
- Farewell dinner: One dinner in Nepali restaurant before your departure from Nepal
- Departure: Airport transfer service for your final departure
Cost Excludes
- Airfare: International airfare (to and from Kathmandu)
- Meals in Kathmandu: Lunch and dinner the stay in Kathmandu (also in case of early return from the trek than the scheduled itinerary)
- Extra night accommodation in Kathmandu: Extra nights’ accommodation in Kathmandu (in case of early arrival or late departure, early return from Trek due to any other reason) than the scheduled itinerary.
- Insurance: Insurance covering both medical and high-altitude evacuation costs (for the trip cancellation, interruption, high altitude rescue and air evacuation, medical treatment, repatriation, etc.).
- Personal Porter: Porter to carry your luggage during the trek (if you would like to take a porter to carry your stuff it will cost you per day Rs 3,000. for each porter, who can carry a maximum 25 KG). Porter can add from our add-on option while processing to make a reservation.
- Personal Expenses: Expenses during the trekking such as hot shower, all kinds of drinks, extra meals, Wi-Fi or data, battery charging, upgraded accommodation, etc..
- Equipment: Clothing, Packing Items, Bags, Personal Medical Kit, and all kinds of Personal Trekking Gear.
- Toiletries: Soaps, shampoos, toilet and tissue papers, toothpaste, and other items used to keep yourself clean.
- Filming: Special Filming, Camera, and Drone permit fee.
- Tips: Tips for guides, porters, and helpers which is expected.
- Extra: Any other services or activities, which are not mentioned in the itinerary and other items not listed in the “Cost Includes” section.
